The Southern California Dance Theatre serves to encourage the people in the Greater Long Beach area to become involved in the performing arts through dance, choreography, stage performances, theater productions and arts education.

Downey Foundation for Educational Opportunities
The Downey Foundation for Educational Opportunities provides Downey students with the resources and opportunities to be successful individuals. This will be accomplished by supplementing arts education, college preparedness, health and fitness in Downey Unified.

Downey Symphony Orchestra
The Downey Symphonic Society, Inc. was founded in 1948 by a group of public-spirited citizens, in order to bring good symphonic music to the Greater Downey Community. The Symphony also provides the Educational Outreach Program in the Arts for the Downey Unified School District called “MUSIC IN THE SCHOOLS”.
Onstage Dance Center
Onstage Dance Center into what it is today: a studio filled with over 400 talented students. In 2007, I opened the doors to our second studio in Los Alamitos with the same big dreams and have watched it grow.
Resurrección Mexican Folk
Since its inception in the year 1961, Resurrección Mexican Folk (formerly known as Ballet Folkórico Resurrección) has grown to over 40 dancers ranging in age from 4 to 21. This youth dance company developed an interest by its Artistic Director, Rafael Valpuesta , to provide a different style of Mexican folk dance to the children and youth of his community.

Te Varua Ori is your family away from home! Our students learn the art that is Tahitian dancing. Whether you join the company or our academy non-commitment classes, our mission is to enrich you with the Tahitian culture and help bring out the greatest in you! Whether a dancer is simply looking for a new hobby and exercise or looking to join the company and strive for advancement, we cater to all.
Warren High School Drama
Our mission is to provide theatre students with a thorough understanding and respect for the theatrical profession. Throughout our program, emphasis is place on all aspects of theatre from acting onstage to assisting backstage, from front of house customer service to sales and marketing and all points in between. It is our belief that this process of creation from script to strike leaves students with a thorough appreciation for all of the hard work and dedication required to produce theatrical art. After leaving our program, students will possess the skills essential for their transition to professional or community theatre as a performer, creator, or viewer.
Downey Children’s Theatre – 50 Years of Music
Created in 1955, the Downey Children’s Theatre presented its first musical THE WIZARD OF OZ in 1963. They officially opened the new DOWNEY THEATRE in 1970 with THE SOUND OF MUSIC. Also operating as the Downey Teen Theater and the Downey Civic Light Opera, for fifty years from 1963-2013 they presented 155 musicals. Tonight, they recall favorite songs from their most popular productions.
